Thermafiber draws upon decades of design knowledge and testing data. To help ensure integrity, we follow International Firestop Council (IFC) guidelines for providing engineering judgments.

 

Engineering judgments estimate how a particular untested design will perform when exposed to fire conditions. We understand that few construction conditions replicate systems tested and listed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL®) and Intertek. We evaluate designs and provide judgments supported by hundreds of fire tests conducted on our products and based on interpolations of similar previously tested systems.

 

Thermafiber’s technical staff stays up to date on current building codes, test standards and application techniques so they can provide consultative services and technical information on all products and installations.

 

In addition, Thermafiber offers an AIA- and CSI-accredited continuing education program: Fire Containment in Multistory Buildings. The program applies to health, safety and welfare credits.

 

Thermafiber offers an online AIA/CES and CSI CEN 1 hour LU program on Perimeter Fire Containment in Multi-Story Buildings. This program applies to Health Safety and Welfare Credits. Click on the link below to access the program.

 

 

Thermafiber offers an AIA Accredited continuing education program on "Fire Containment In Multi-Story Buildings". This program applies to Health Safety and Welfare Credits. Learning units per hour are based on the length of the program. Thermafiber offers 1 and 2 hour presentations.
